Rebecca Roberts

Mrs. Roberts received her BA from the University of Maine in Orono, and her Masters in teaching from Harvard University. She teaches Latin II and III and Grammar Fundamentals here at the high school and she has her plate full with community activities. She enjoys music and is a member of the Alumni Community Band as well as being both organist and choir director for the Boothbay Baptist Church. She also plays golf, does aerobics and chaperoned a school trip to Italy.
In addition to the Roman banquet Mrs. Roberts brought her Latin II class to visit a St. Joseph's Latin I class. Outside of school, Mrs. Roberts attends Maine Classical League Conventions and Workshops, and Junior Classical League Certamen and Conventions.
Frau Ragnhild Baade

Originally from East Germany, Frau Baade now resides in Edgecomb, ME. She received her BA from Upsala College in East Orange, NJ and her MA from Syracuse University.
Her hobbies are reading, writing, gardening, watching good English mysteries, and traveling. Her travels have taken her to Germany, Estonia, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Russia, Israel, and Canada.
Frau Baade teaches German I, II, III, IV and an introductory German course to the 8th grade students at Boothbay Region Elementary School. Her passion besides teaching German is the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine of which she has been a member sine 1996. She will be the president this year.
She is involved with the GAPP program.....a student exchange and partnership program, and a German IV immersion program.
Although Frau Baade isn't aware of any of her former students teaching German, many of them have continued with their German studies and have traveled to Germany or Austria.
Senora Karol Clark

Mrs. Clark got her B.A. in modern languages from Elizabethtown College, Pennsylvania and University of Barcelona, Spain. She is also continuing education at University of Maine.
From Oxford, Maine she now resides in Newcastle, Maine. She has taught at Lincoln Academy, Chewonki Foundation, Boothbay Region Elementary School and B.R.H.S.
She likes reading, watching movies, waking and swimming. She has traveled throughout Europe, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and North Africa. Mrs. Clark currently teaches Spanish I, II, III, IV as well as Spanish V or AP depending upon demand.
Mademoiselle Dasha Loskutova

Mademoiselle L is originally from a large city in southwestern Russia called Voronezh. She received her BA degree in 2005 from the Department of Modern Languages of Voronezh State University. Last year she was admitted to the ETEP program of the University of Southern Maine, successfully completed it, and received her Maine teaching certificate this summer. She is currently admitted to the MLT program at the USM finishing her Master degrre in Learning and Education.
She enjoys meeting new people from different cultures, traveling, and outdoors. She likes reading and watching movies in different languages. She started to learn Spanish this year.
Mademoiselle teaches part-time high school French I, II, III, IV. She has big hopes for her first year of teaching in US. She is looking forward to get to know her students, and increase their curiosity for the outer world.
In her classroom she is putting a great emphasis on communication in a target language.
